Alex Jones scored 26 points, breaking the Elizabethtown High School girls’ scoring record in the third quarter, to lead the Lady Panthers past Washington County on Thursday, 67-18.
Jones, a senior post, scored 17 points in the first half and needed 24 to break the record. She also had seven rebounds as Elizabethtown (24-2) won its 10th consecutive game.
Sophomore forward Adelaide Luckett chipped in with 12 points, four rebounds, three steals and one block, while sophomore guard Natalie Greenwell added 12 points and five steals.
