Lady Panthers, Lady Trojans, Lady Hawks all win

Freshman guard Tajah Haley scored 14 points and the John Hardin Lady Bulldogs held East Jessamine scoreless in the second quarter en route to a 70-30 win in the first game of the Pinkham Lincoln-Mercury Christmas Tournament at John Hardin.

Haley also had seven steals, four assists and three rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs (4-3), who led 33-6 at the half.

Freshman post Zacchea Small chipped in with 12 points, while sophomore post Michelle Montgomery added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Senior guard Kristin Shonkwiler hit two 3-pointers and scored nine points, and senior post Jordan Cofer had eight points and six rebounds.

ELIZABETHTOWN 58, ANDERSON COUNTY 47. Senior guard Natalie Greenwell scored 22 points and the Lady Panthers ran their winning streak to eight with a win over Anderson County in the Republic Bank Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic.

Greenwell, who hit three 3-pointers, had four rebounds, three assists and two steals, while senior forward Adelaide Luckett added 12 points, six rebounds, three blocks and two assists.

Junior guard Kaylyn Cecil chipped in with 12 points, two assists and two steals for the Lady Panthers (8-0), who shot 51.2 percent (20-of-39) from the field.

Brown had 16 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals, while eighth-grade guard Alexis Brewer scored 16 points.

Senior forward Lyndsay Whitlock added 13 points, four rebounds and three assists, while senior guard Valerie Whitlock chipped in with 11 points and six assists.

Eighth-grade forward Morgan Turner added 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal, and freshman guard Carissa Schwartz scored nine points.
