GIRLS' PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Lady Trojans top Nelson (01/15)

Senior forward Chanel Roberts recorded a double-double as the North Hardin Lady Trojans knocked off visiting 5th Region foe Nelson County, 69-58 on Monday.

Roberts had 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Trojans (16-4), who won their second straight.

Freshman guard Tamiah Stanford added 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals, while junior guard Kiera Jones had 11 points and three steals.

Senior forward Brianna Edmunds scored nine points, while junior forward Morgan Barrick chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.

NORTH BULLITT 60, JOHN HARDIN 57. Three players scored in double figures, but the visiting Lady Bulldogs (16-5) still lost for the second time in three games.

Junior center Zacchea Small led John Hardin with 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals, while junior guard Tajah Haley added 11 points and three assists.

Senior post Michelle Montgomery chipped in with 10 points and 14 rebounds, and junior wing Nawdya Fletcher had eight points and six rebounds.

Junior guard Aislynn Barnes led Central Hardin with 15 points and three rebounds, while junior guard Mikaela Worth had six points and one assist.
