Had Friday night’s girls’ basketball game at John Hardin been a boxing match, the Lady Bulldogs would have suffered a first-round knockout at the hands of the visiting Elizabethtown Lady Panthers.
Elizabethtown sophomore post Reauna Cleaver scored eight of her game-high 18 points in her team’s game-opening 19-0 run and the Lady Panthers came within one win of clinching at least a share of the 17th District’s regular-season title with a 69-47 win over the Lady Bulldogs.
