Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting at a luncheon at the Brown-Pusey House, Elizabeth “Betty” Swope was awarded Girls Scouts of Kentuckiana’s first Tough Cookie Award. In presenting the award, Ann Kowalkoski, luncheon cochair, said that as an active troop leader and mentor, Swope has touched the lives of countless girls.
