Gladys V. Claywell, 82, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at her residence.
She was a native of Adair County, a member of Glasgow First Church of the Nazarene, retired from Mallory’s Manufacturing in Glasgow and a member of TOPS Ky. No. 126.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Robert Claywell Sr.; and her parents, William Jackson and Sallie Roach Sexton.
She is survived by two sons, Sam (LaDonna) Claywell Jr. of Elizabethtown and William (Della) Claywell of Glasgow; two daughters, Bedelia (Randal) Wilmoth of Cecilia and Patricia (Larry) Jenkins of Louisville; a brother, Gilbert Zearil Sexton of Cleveland, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Monday, April 2, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brother Ron Davis officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens of Glasgow.
