"Goobers" or "Gobbers," these "Globs" are good!

Helen Byrd of Vine Grove says this recipe for "Good Gobber Globs" is one of her favorites – and it’s easy too. A dear friend of hers gave her a cookbook from her church, Hodgenville Pentecostal Church, and while Helen says the cookbook has many good recipes, this is one of the best. I’ve renamed it “Good Goober Globs” because I think that has to have been the original name at one time since it has peanut butter in it. But call it what you like – it’s good by any name, and it couldn’t be easier to make. The finished product is very plain and I think that’s why most people like it so much. Try it with a tall glass of milk, and you'll be in heaven.   Good Gobber (or “Goober”)Globs 1 box yellow cake mix 1 cup peanut butter (Helen uses creamy) 2 eggs, beaten 1/3 cup water. In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients. Mix well. Drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 375-degree oven for about 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen “Good Goober Globs.”
