1 Paula Thomas, shows Livestock Club members and parents how the milking machines are attached and some of the problems that are encountered. A large amount of water is required to keep the parlor and all of the equipment clean following each milking. The 1,300 gallons produced daily calculates to 10,400 pounds of milk or approximately 55 pounds per cow.
