Kentucky State Police arrested a Grayson County man Tuesday after a Breckinridge County grand jury indicted him on 14 sex-related charges stemming from contact with children.

William T. Lainhart, 51, of Falls of Rough was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday following an indictment returned the previous day, according to a news release from Post 4.

Lainhart faces four counts of second-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sodomy, five counts of second-degree sodomy and one count of first-degree sexual abuse, police said.

According to the release, the charges stem from incidents that occurred in 2005 and involved two children, both of whom were younger than 15 at the time of the alleged offenses.

Lainhart is lodged at Grayson County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond.

According to Kentucky Revised Statutes, first-degree sodomy is a Class B felony punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison if convicted. The remaining charges are Class C felonies.

An indictment is an allegation, not proof of guilt. The defendant is innocent until proven guilty.
