A Falls of Rough man has been charged with driving under the influence after losing control of and overturning his vehicle Friday night.
Kentucky State Police said Anthony Frank, 43, was heading north on Ky. 79 in a 1984 Dodge pickup around 8:55 p.m. CST when he lost control and ran off the right shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle overturned, struck a tree and came to rest in the front yard of a residence near the 8600 block of Falls of Rough Road in Grayson County, according to a news release.
Frank was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Lietchfield and later transferred to University Hospital in Louisville for serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to KSP.
He has been charged with DUI 1st offense, driving without an operator’s license, possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt. Frank’s brother, Kip, also was arrested for DUI after he drove up on the scene to check on Anthony Frank’s condition.
KSP Trooper Brad Riley is investigating the crash.
