A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled Friday for the new county government office complex off Ring Road and Patriot Parkway.

The ceremony begins at 11:30 a.m. in the lot next to the county Emergency Services Center at 1450 Rineyville Road. It will be held indoors in case of inclement weather. Light refreshments will be served inside the Emergency Services Center afterward.

The ceremony closely follows Hardin Fiscal Court's vote to accept a maximum guaranteed price on construction of more than $13.1 million from construction manager Alliance Corporation.
