A day after publicly challenging the Pentagon’s plan to inactivate the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, at Fort Knox, U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie said he plans to keep his seat in Congress next year.
The Bowling Green Republican announced his intentions to run for re-election in the 2nd Congressional District, citing the divide between Democrats and Republicans and his desire to build a future for the next generation that is not saddled with horrendous debt and unbalanced budgets.
“We still have a lot of work to do,” Guthrie, 49, said.
