Habitat for Humanity Board members visit state capitol

They attended a seminar and participated in rally at the Capitol Rotunda. The Hardin County group was among the largest contingents of the various Habitat affiliates from across the state. Hardin County Habitat for Humanity recently hired Scott Turner as its new executive director. Over the past 20 years, the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate has built 46 affordable homes. These homes are purchased by local families who invest sweat equity and make a monthly mortgage payment. The local board has committed itself to increasing its annual production of new, high energy-efficient homes.
