Halberg-Swords

Nolan Halberg and Payton Swords announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their parents, Christin Halberg and Timothy Swords.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Fred and Rose Halberg of Elizabethtown. She is a 2005 graduate of Central Hardin High School and a 2010 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's in education. She is employed with Hardin County Schools.

The prospective groom is the son of Bobby (Doris) Swords of Pensacola, Fla., and Teresa Colbert of Cullman, Ala. He is a 1997 graduate of Pensacola Catholic High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1998 to 2001. He is pursuing a nursing degree at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and is employed at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

The wedding is June 11, 2011, at Rosewood Gardens in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

A reception to follow the honeymoon will be held June 26, 2011, at Pritchard Community Center.
