Hamfest is April 7

The Lincoln Trail Amateur Radio Club will host the 34th annual Hamfest beginning at 8 a.m. April 7 at Elizabethtown Community College, State Fire and Rescue Training Facility, 603 College Street Road, Elizabethtown.

A Hamfest is a sale of new and used amateur radios and electronic parts. This years Hamfest will have several vendors indoors and an outdoor flea market. It is open to the public and is attended by electronics enthusiasts’ from all over Kentucky and some of the surrounding states.

There will be testing by ARRL volunteers testers for new and upgrading of FCC Amateur Licenses. Registration for testing will begin at 9:30 a.m. and testing will begin a 10 a.m.. The cost for testing is $15, no checks. A picture ID and a copy of any previous license is required.
