Hardin County AM Rotary Club members toured the offices of Helping Hand on Aug. 22. Rotary Club member and Executive Director of Helping Hand Henry White conducted the tour. Club members visited and learned about the agency’s food pantry, clothing supply room and work program. Helping Hand was founded in 1970 and operates out of the former First Presbyterian Church building at 212 West Dixie Avenue. The agency purchased the building, which was built in 1833, from the church in 1994 for $1 and serves those in need throughout much of the county. White is pictured fourth from the left with several local Rotary Club members. The Hardin County AM Rotary meets at 7 a.m. Fridays at The Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown.
