Hardin County Democrats hold caucus to select delegates

     Hardin County Democrats held their County/Legislative District Caucus on May 31 at the Nolin RECC building in Elizabethtown. The purpose of the caucus was to elect delegates and alternates to the Second Congressional District Caucus that would travel to Lexington on June 7 to participate in the Kentucky State Democratic Convention. The delegates would elect the members of the Democratic State Central Executive Committee and would select the Kentucky Delegation to the National Democratic Convention Aug. 25-28 in Denver as well as the electors to serve in the Kentucky Presidential Electoral College. Every four years, the Kentucky Democratic Party conducts a statewide reorganization in order to grow and develop strong precinct, county and state leadership.
