Hardin County Homemakers hold annual meeting

The 71st annual Hardin County Homemakers meeting was held May 24 at the fellowship hall in Cecilia Baptist Church. With a large crowd in attendance, a very nice day was enjoyed by all. Rineyville Club won the attendance award. The Cecilia Homemakers Club were proud of many of their members as well, who were appointed to county offices and won awards.

Homemaker Sharon Bush was chosen Homemaker of the year. She is secretary/treasurer of the Cecilia Homemakers Club.

The Cecilia Homemakers Club was again winner of the best scrapbook presented by a large club. Brenda Lowe and Whitney Antique compiled the scrapbook.

Seven scholarship awards were presented this year to: Kelly Keen, Devin McCamish, Dustin Shepherd, Spencer Singer, Alexandra Skillman, Jeremy Taylor and Aaron Yates.

Byrle Thomas was elected as county homemakers president. Thomas is the outgoing president of the Cecilia Homemakers Club after serving two years. Debbie McQueary is filling her vacancy for the club. Bettina Marple member or the Cecilia Club, was again appointed Vice President of the County Homemakers. Debbie McQueary is county cultural arts chairman and Diane McCamish is county secretary.
