County schools in the Hardin and Meade will operate on a one-hour delay for the district this morning.
Buses will be running later and the schools will work on a reduced schedule because of the threat of hazardous weather.
Cold rain could turn to snow or icy conditions this morning, according to forecasters. Areas along the Ohio River and north can expect accumulating snow of 1 inch or more. The National Weather Service's hazardous weather outlook says areas north of the Bluegrass Parkway can expect a wintry mix. Hardin County appears to be along the dividing line between rain, ice and snow.
Conditions will improve around mid-morning as temperatures increase, transforming all precipitation into rain.
