The Hardin County Senior Republican Women’s Forum met June 12 at Gondolier Italian Restaurant in Elizabethtown. After the meal, attendees were entertained with a character portrayal of Mark Twain, performed by Jim Roberts. After the presentation, there was a short business meeting. The next meeting is at 6 p.m. July 17 at Gondolier Italian Restaurant. The speaker will be John Scott. He will do a portrayal of Phillip Arnold, diamond smuggler from Elizabethtown’s past (Scott does this character on the Elizabethtown Walking Tour.) For information, call Alice Pelkey, 769-1464.
