Tourism in Hardin County last year increased over 2009, outpacing a similar increase across the state.
Hardin County tourism grew by 5.4 percent last year, bringing about $8.3 million into the county.
Hardin overtook Daviess County in impact ranking. It is now the seventh highest-grossing county with about $162.9 million spent directly on tourism.
Tourism across the state increased 4.8 percent for a total of $7.2 billion in economic impact.
