Hazel Dailey Atteberry, 101, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Cynthiana and a member of Bethesda Ministries. She formerly worked at the Fort Knox Laundry, E’town Sewing Factory and was manager of Bunch’s Washateria for many years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, farming and was a caregiver for the elderly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lee Atteberry; a son, Frank Atterberry; her parents, Frank and Lilly Florence Dailey; three brothers, Raymond Dailey, James Dailey and Bonnie Dailey; and two sisters, Mary Tom Brannock and Gertrude Hutchison.
She is survived by two sons, Bobby (Sylvia) Atteberry and Henry (Madeline) Atteberry, all of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Lillian (Tom) Page of West Monroe, La., and Grace Braddock and Mary Lou (Tom) Wilson, all of Elizabethtown; a daughter-in-law, Beulah Atterberry of Elizabethtown; one sister, Ruby McCauley of Cynthiana; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Tuesday at Bethesda Ministries with burial in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
