Hardin County Schools’ tentative budget shows a district tightening its financial belt.
The Fiscal Year 2012 budget, the second part of a three-part budget cycle, estimates revenues and expenses to sit at about $131.5 million, about a $9 million drop from the current year’s budget. It’s a decrease from last fiscal year’s actual revenue of $153.7 million, but also a decrease in expenditures, which were $134.1 million in the last fiscal year.
