Members of the Heartland Chambers Alliance contend a proposed merger of local chambers of commerce will do nothing to strip identities from cities the chambers represent.
The first round of voting on unification begins today in West Point. The Heartland Chambers Alliance met Thursday at Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System to tweak elements of the proposal and discuss concerns presented during a Monday forum at New Highland Elementary School.
