With a community growing in rich cultural diversity, an understanding of those living in the community is essential.
Heartland Interfaith is taking steps toward fostering that understanding. The group consists of individuals from the Christian and Muslim faiths but hopes to include Jewish and Hindu participants and followers of any religious traditions.
The appeals meetings are designed to get acquainted and not convert each other, Saima Rabbani said. She hopes people will be able to understand each other’s faiths and develop a friendly tolerance.
