HMH acquires Cardinal Drive properties

Hardin Memorial Hospital has closed on the purchase of two properties on Cardinal Drive — land officials say could be used if the hospital ever decides to expand its facilities.

According to property transfers, the hospital purchased 206 Cardinal Drive for $87,000 and 208 Cardinal Drive for $108,000 from Charles Bradley and Sara Mills.

The sales were finalized after HMH’s Board of Trustees approved the acquisitions following a closed session at its last monthly meeting, said Michelle Murphy, director of marketing and public relations.

“Those two properties are contiguous to our properties,” Murphy said in an email. “If we were ever going to expand our campus the only direction we could go would be west” on property behind the main campus on North Dixie Avenue.
