Fallout surrounding the health care reform law passed in March has reached local levels.
Hardin Memorial Hospital in November filed a federal lawsuit in U.S. District Court against Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, claiming her department acted improperly in failing to reimburse the hospital for Medicare payments the hospital claims it is owed for providing hyperbaric oxygen therapy to a diabetic Medicare participant in 2008.
