Holiday crunch creates danger on water, roads

FRANKFORT — With traffic on the roads and on the water expected to increase significantly this Memorial Day weekend, police are warning motorists to use extra caution when traveling and lake officials are advising boaters and water lovers to use common sense to ensure a safe and fun holiday.

Kentucky State Police announced Wednesday that highway patrols will intensify today through Monday.
