Holiday theater in Horse Cave

-A A +A
By Becca Owsley

The Kentucky Repertory Theatre in Horse Cave presents four plays during the holiday season. For the first time, the KRT will present four plays performed in rotating repertory.

A musical based on Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women” is showing today.

“Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol” opens Nov. 30. The play is an “irreverent yet moving” comedy of Marley’s experience of torment before his attempt to redeem Scrooge.

The company’s Theatre for Youth program presents “Yes, Virginia” on Dec. 1. It follows the tale of young Virginia who writes a letter to the editor of The New York Sun questioning the validity of Santa Claus.

“The Santaland Diaries and Season’s Greetings” opens Dec. 7. The presentation is the debut of the KRT Studio Black Box Theatre.

The shows will be performed on weekends through Dec. 23.
