   The warmer weather is a nice change from earlier cold days. Rain is in the forecast for several days. Most likely after that passes the temperatures will drop again. Have you gotten your outside decorations up yet? Dad and Jamileeput theirs up Dec. 1.

SIBLINGS GATHER. The children of the late Alva and Ruth Goodman met for breakfast at Shoneys. They were Wilma Jean Cundiff, ShortieHolbert, Joyce McCamish, Sheila Lucas, Pam Ford and Dwight Goodman.

CLUB NEWS. The HowevalleyVertreesCommunity Club will have buncoat 6:30 Monday at the club building. Bring snacks to share. Everyone is welcome. For information, call Freda Griffen,  862-9413.  
   The club made and delivered 65 Christmas fruit baskets throughout the community Dec. 1. The club will have its holiday meal and meeting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17. The meat will be provided. All members and their families are encouraged to attend.
 

CHURCH NEWS.  Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church kids vhoir will present  “Charlie Brown's Gift” at 6 p.m. tonight.  Refreshments will follow.  There also will be a special visit from Santa.  Everyone is invited.

FCBC will present an adult choir musical, “A Patchwork Christmas” at 6 p.m. Dec. 16.  Everyone is welcome.

  GET-WELL WISHES. Get-well wishes to Wilma Jean Cundiff, Mr. Vermillion, Leslie Vertrees, Cathy Morgan, Eddie Booker and Opal Smallwood.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Happy birthday wishes to Karen Williams on Dec. 11; Jenny Stiles on Dec. 12; and Noah McIntrye(16 years) on Dec. 14.
   I sent a birthday song text to my best friend, Buffy McCormick, wishing her a happy birthday Dec. 1.
   ANNIVERSARY. Happy anniversary wishes to Pete and Martina Copelinon Dec. 12, (25 years).
