BURRR, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE.Mother Nature has been blowing some cold air our way lately making it sometimes almost unbearable to be out. Put those gloves, hat and big coats on to stay warmer. Still no signs of snow yet? Mom and Daphne will just have to deal without it.

SURPRISE.  The children of Edward Goodman would like for you to come and celebrate his surprise birthday party from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 3 at HowevalleySchool. Please, no gifts. Just come by and say happy birthday.

BIRTHDAY PARTY. Tristan Holbertcelebrated his fourthbirthday at mamawShortie’s and papaw Brodie’s home Jan. 19. He had a batman theme and cake with ice cream. He received a lot of gifts, from toys, clothes, learning books and a battery operated four wheeler. Eighteen were present.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Happy birthday wishes to Kelly Sherrard on Jan. 28; Justin Anderson on Jan. 29; Reece Iler(14 years), Cory Fields, Alex Patterson (17 years), Cindy Marshall and Bailey Crowder(9 years) on Jan. 30; Wesley Miller (18 years), Chris Cecil and Adena Lucas (19 years) on Jan. 31; and Tracey Sprinkle, Sabrina Kelly (14 years) and Ashley Hornbackon Feb. 1.

CLUB NEWS. The HowevalleyVertreesCommunity Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Members and others are encouraged to come. A meal will be served.
