KENTUCKYWEATHER. Well, what can I saw about it now? Rain, sleet, lightning, wind, thunder, tornadoes and snow all in one week. Now that’s real Kentucky weather. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

APPRECIATION. Edward Goodman would like to thank family and friends for giving and attending his surprise birthday party Feb .3. He appreciates all the cards, balloons and gifts, but most of all your presence.

GET-WELL WISHES. Get-well wishes to Mary Goodman, Pam Chappell Graham, Mike Nall, Sierra Covin, Chris Cecil, Ernest Sadler, Jim Jarboe, Kevin Goodman, John Shope, Opal Smallwood and Cathy Morgan.

Mom has a special prayer request for her friend, Dena.

Pam Chappell Graham is recovering at home following recent surgery. Her mom reports good news and Pam is doing well.

Mary Goodman is at home recuperating after spending nine days in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Please remember her in your prayers.

CLUB NEWS. The Howevalley Vertrees Community Club voted to change the time for the meetings back to 7 p.m. The next meeting is at 7 p.m. Feb. 25. 

Bunco is at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the club building. Everyone is welcome.

A chili supper is planned for 5 p.m. March 15. Carry out will be available for those who wish to stop to take it home. More details will follow. 

The club is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. March 30. Weather permitting, it will be held at the community club. A Howevalley-Vertrees Day committee meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18. Anyone wanting to be on the committee or who has some great ideas to share, please attend this very important meeting.
