KENTUCKY WEATHER. It’s still mixed up, cold one day and warm the next. Making it hard on the allergies already. Also, I hear the flu still is hanging around. I had my shot and so far I’ve been good.
I’ve noticed spring flowers are popping up through the ground out at dad’s house. That’s usually a sign that warmer days soon are ahead.
GET-WELL WISHES. Get-well wishes to Mary Goodman, Pam Chappell Graham, Mike Nall, Sierra Covin, Chris Cecil, Ernest Sadler, Jim Jarboe, Kevin Goodman, John Shope, Opal Smallwood, Wilma Jean Cundiff and Cathy Morgan.
Mom has a special prayer request for her friend, Dena.
CLUB NEWS. The Howevalley Vertrees Community Club voted to change the time for the meetings back to 7 p.m. The next meeting is at 7 p.m. Feb. 25.
Bunco is at 7 p.m. March 11, at the club building. This is a change of time. Everyone is welcome.
A Chili supper is planned for 5 p.m. March 15. Carry out will be available for those who wish to stop and take some home. More details at a later date.
The club is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. March 30. Weather permitting, it will be held at the community club. A Howevalley Vertrees Day Committee meeting was held Feb. 18. Anyone wanting to be on the committee or who has some great ideas to share, please contact Barbara McCamish, Elsie Holbert or any club member.
