DEVASTATION IN COMMUNITY. The community people stood in disbelief when the Bits and Pieces store burned last week. Paula Crowder owned the business for nearly 15 years and was comforted by her customers and community friends. The place not only served service with that smile and friendliness but to some it was a place to catch up on the talk of the community and worldwide news or just to come in and have a cup of coffee to start their day or come by for some lunch or grab a pizza for a quick supper. For whatever reason, it will be greatly missed by everyone. It had that down home country atmosphere of a mom and pop store that is scarce to find these days. Paula is unsure if she will rebuild. Many thanks to the volunteer fire departments and all who came to help with the fire.

KENTUCKYWEATHER. There has been lots of rain lately. Everyone is talking about how their yards have grown and it’s hard finding time to mow in between the rain. At least the temperatures are some warmer.
