KENTUCKY WEATHER.Along came some much needed rain and of course a thunderstorm came right along with it. Our electricity kept going off and on but only lasted a few seconds each time. Hats off to those people who work for our electric companies. Many spent all night out fixing problems.

“BABE” THOMAS.I never knew this man personally but according to my mom, he was a judge in Hardin County for many years. Actually his name was R.R. Thomas but everybody called him “Babe.” Sympathy to his family and friends on his passing.

SCHOOLS IN.Remember those yellow buses are carrying our precious students heading to and from school. Slow down. Also, watch out for those who walk to and from school. Remember if you speed in a school zone, you will be ticketed and it will cost you double, but the main concern is the student’s safety.

REUNION CANCELED.The annual family reunion of the Goodman-Helm families is canceled this year because of several not being able to attend. Questions, please call 270-862-4930.

GET-WELL WISHES. Get-well wishes to Ovel Goodman, Thelma Dunn, Mary Goodman, Mike Nall, Sierra Covin, Kevin Goodman, John Shope, Opal Smallwood, and Cathy Morgan.
