Howevalley

KENTUCKYWEATHER. A beautiful day full of sunshine on March 11. We took Chloe to Freeman Lake Park. We put her on the swings but she was a little scared. We also showed her the ducks. It’s amazing to watch all of her expressions.

Back to the weather. Even though we had a warm day on March 11, the next day was so typical of Kentucky weather. Rain, wind, cold temperatures and even snow flurries. Mother Nature is just teasing us again. We just have to be patient and enjoy what is given to us. Spring will be here soon.

BENEFIT. Modern Woodmen of America Chapter No. 11681 is sponsoring a Matching Fund Benefit for Bryle Holbert on April 12, at Howevalley Elementary School, 8450 Hardinsburg Road, Highway 86. There will be an auction, dinner and raffle beginning at 4 p.m. All proceeds will be matched up to $2,500 and given to Bryle to alleviate medical expenses.

Bryle was injured at work in 2011 and lost eyesight in one of his eyes. He is receiving no compensation.

Anyone wanting to donate items or monetary donations, please contact Jeff Nalley, 270-692-7391,  Anna Marie Flowers, 270-737-9425, Brod Holbert, 270-234-3199, Mary Mona Holbert at mona.holbert@facebook.com or Elsie Holbert (270) 862-3424.

Invitations will go out end of March. If you would like to be added to the invitation list, please contact the school or Mary Mona Holbert on facebook mona.holbert@facebook.com .
