HAPPY FATHER’S DAY. Tell your daddy you love him and give him a great big hug.
STAY COOL. Try to stay as cool as possible. We received a little rain, which was a blessing. Many people are planning vacations or just a planning a day outing. Cory and I and Jamilee and Greg spent the day at Holiday World on June 11. It rained when we got there, but it soon was over and it was hot. We spent a lot of time riding rides and then stayed in the water park, which was a way of staying cooled off on the water rides. We had a fun day.

HOOVER’S WIT. Old Sayings: If you put a piece of clothing on wrong side out, it’s bad luck to take it off and turn it; If your palm itches, you are going to receive some money; If your foot itches, you are going to walk on strange ground; If you drop a fork, a lady is coming; If you speak of someone, sometimes they show up; Never put on your left shoe first.
MOM’S REMINDER. She reminded me that her daddy’s (A. J. Holbert) birthday is June 23. He would have been 77 years old. Also, she said on this date, June 19, her papaw Alva Goodman passed away in 1980.
