Many people are sick with the flu bug. I have been sick for a couple of weeks with a nagging cough, headache, sore throat and fever.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Happy birthday wishes to Twyla French, Kimberly Snook and Autumn Johnson on Jan. 6; Tasha Knieriem and Greta Jones on Jan. 9; Betty Jo Richardson, Danial Butler and David Catlett on Jan. 10; and Kevin Snook, Wesley Edwards (16 years), Hunter Weidemann (1 year) and Bernice Sherrard on Jan. 11.
MY BIRTHDAY. My day began by getting to sleep in on my day off. My daddy made me a pot of tater soup and cornbread at my request. Mom bought me an ice cream cake. My little sister, Jamilee, and cousin, Jackie, went outside and made a few snowballs and brought them into the house. Both of them including mom came into my bedroom and just threw them at me. It was so cold and wet. They were laughing but I wasn’t. I didn’t find it too amusing. After getting everything cleaned up, they brought in the birthday cake with a candle lit for me to blow out and make a wish. They also sang to me. Later, my boyfriend, Cory, took me out to dinner and a movie. It was a great birthday. I also received many birthday wishes on Facebook and text messages.
ANNIVERSARY. Happy belated anniversary wishes to Kevin and Sandy Bramlett on Jan. 1 (12 years).
LAUGH LINE. What happens when frogs park illegally? They get toad.
