The weather is getting much cooler. Have you done your final yard work for the year? Leaves are everywhere and the yards need one more final mowing. The weather is supposed to be much cooler this week. Some have even said they will be putting up their Christmas outside lights earlier before the actual cold weather sets in.
Today is Veterans Day. Also, it’s my husband Cory’s 27th birthday.
TIME CHANGE. Are you enjoying the time change? Days are shorter and nights are longer.
ELECTION DAY. Well, it’s finally over. Too much money spent. Time to take down the political signs. Some are happy with the outcome and some are not.
CLUB NEWS.The HowevalleyVertreesCommunity Club will have buncoat 6:30 p.m. Monday at the club building. Bring snacks to share. Everyone is welcome. For information, call Freda Griffen, 862-9413.
Approximately 120 were in attendance at the trunk or treat at the club on Halloween. Refreshments were served. Many wore costumes. 2012 Mayor of Howevalley Mason Butterworth attended. Ky. 86 Fire Department Chief, Ryan Slaubaugh brought a fire truck and Brod Holbert brought the Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church van with children to attend. Everyone had a good time.
