Can you believe the month of November is almost over? Many people still are doing yard work despite the cooler weather. Now the Christmas decorating will begin. Have you been naughty or nice this year? Hopefully there are more nice than naughty people.

Cory, mom and I went to my doctor on Nov. 16 to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. It was beating 168 bpm. I, of course, cried and Cory and mom were smiling big. In January, we will have an ultrasound and find out the sex of it.

THANKSGIVING. Cory and I went to dad’s for Thanksgiving dinner. It was delicious and he always makes sure there is pumpkin pie for me. Yum, yum.

CLUB NEWS. The HowevalleyVertreesCommunity Club will have buncoat 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the club building. Bring snacks to share. Everyone is welcome. For information, call Freda Griffen862-9413.

   GET-WELL WISHES. Get-well wishes to Wilma Jean Cundiff, Bryan Stewart, Mr. Vermillion, Leslie Vertrees, Cathy Morgan, Eddie Booker and Opal Smallwood.
   SYMPATHY. Sympathy is extended to the family of Maefen Love. She has lived in the community for many years and was a member of Vertrees Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, children, Betty Lucas, Bobby, Alex, Tony and Pat Green, grandchildren, family and friends.
