Hardin County residents and beyond turned out in hundreds to find a cure for a disease that causes crippling memory loss.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s was Saturday morning at Freeman Lake Park in Elizabethtown. Almost 400 participants registered for the walk by Friday, far surpassing the goal for the event.
Elizabeth Betts, relationship manager for the association, said it was “amazing” the community showed up in such large numbers to support the cause.
