Want to know what Republican Brett Guthrie and Democrat David Boswell would do about issues important to you if they are elected Nov. 4 to represent us in Congress the next two years, or ask them about other topics such as the financial crisis, Iraq, Social Security, taxes or veteran's problems?
Want to know more about the present commissioner form of county government or the proposed return to magistrates?
Monday night is your chance to do both.
Guthrie and Boswell will square off in a candidate's forum co-sponsored by The News-Enterprise and the League of Women Voters of Hardin County beginning at 6 p.m. at the Science Auditorium in the Science Building on the campus of the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.
Following that forum, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Science Auditorium, Elizabethtown businessmen Al Rider and Jeff Farmer will discuss the hotly debated question on the ballot to be decided Nov. 4 whether Hardin Countians should continue to be represented on Fiscal Court by commissioners or go back to magistrates.
Remember, you can submit questions to be asked during the forums by e-mailing them to email@example.com or bring them with you to the forum and submit them in writing.
Also, remember that candidates for election or re-election to the Elizabethtown City Council will answer your questions Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. at TK Stone Middle School.
