On Martin Luther King Jr.
On Dec. 13 in The News-Enterprise, a writer suggested the Republican Party “reach out” to blacks and other minorities and get away from being a “party of the rich.” On Jan. 2, a column said “GOP needs recasting, reform.” Give me a break. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican and I became one after my very first Hardin County NAACP Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday celebration in January 1993 when I watched blacks “kiss up” to liberal Democrat politicians and defile The Dream.
