Japanese pianist, orchestra conductor and businessman Masazumi Aso, who goes by the name Sami, will present a free piano concert at 7 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Elizabethtown.

The concert is presented by Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s Fine Arts Committee and the Multicultural Committee.

Aso is from El Paso, Texas, and he completed his master’s degree in music in 2004 at the University of Texas at El Paso. His music incorporates classical and contemporary sounds.

With fellow musician George Arriola, Aso released his debut CD “Feelings.” The CD contains three original and nine arranged pieces based on what his website refers to as "some of the world's most famous and favorite songs." Arriola composed the original pieces, the website says.
