Charles and Bobbie Janes Jessee of Louisville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary March 19, 2013.
Mrs. Jessee retired from Jefferson County Schools, where she worked in food services as a food service director. After retirement from JCPS, she worked on the farm and continued her work with the United Methodist Women and serving the local church. She also was active in the Adair County Homemakers.
Mr. Jessee served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from E.I. DuPont Works in Louisville. He also is a retired farmer and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. and Mrs. Jessee are members of the Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church on Old 3rd Street Road in Valley Station. They have served various roles in the churches of which they have been members.
They have two children, Judith Ann Jessee McQueen of Valley Station and the Rev. Kenneth Allen Jessee of Radcliff; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration is at noon March 9 at Stovall United Methodist Church, 949 Rogersville Road in Radcliff.
All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
