Jo Rita Perkins Harbin, 65, of Hodgenville, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was owner and operator of Bell’s Grocery in Hodgenville for many years and a former employee of Cracker Barrel in Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edsel Harbin; her parents, Lawrence A. Perkins and Evelyn Roberta Sidebottom Perkins; and a brother, Elmer Perkins.
She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Reidner of Hodgenville; two sons, Jerry (Susan) Bell of Lexington and David Bell of Hodgenville; two stepdaughters, Tonda Harbin (Kerry) England and Dorthrine Harbin (Tommy) Hines, all of Louisville; three grandchildren, Linsey (Nick) Thompson, Gavin Bell and Taylor Bell; a stepgrandson, Bryan England; a brother, Bobby Perkins of Elizabethtown; and her “granddog,” Spike.
The funeral was Thursday, April 19, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Earl Sanders officiating. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery.
