Jobs picture continues to brighten

Unemployment continues to fall in the Elizabethtown metropolitan area, especially in LaRue County — which saw nearly a 5-point reduction from October 2009 to last month.
The monthly jobless rate for Hardin County fell 0.3 percentage points to 8.5 percent in October. In LaRue County, it plunged from 8.3 percent in September to 7.5 percent — the eighth lowest of Kentucky’s 120 counties.
