Dallas and Juanita Johnson of Vertrees quietly celebrated they 60th wedding anniversary with a family vacation to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., July 10-13, 2008. There were 14 family members attending. The family rented a house for 4 nights and 3 days. Dallas Johnson shot many rounds of pool with his sons and grandsons. The family enjoyed meals at the house, at a catfish restaurant, pancake house and the AppleWood Restaurant. On Saturday night they attended the Dixie Stampede, a dinner theater. They also enjoyed a lot of shopping at the outlet malls.
The Johnsons were married July 22, 1948 at the Elizabethtown Courthouse by Judge H.B. Fife.
