When retired Lt. Col. Roland Haun and his fellow JROTC instructors needed advice and guidance, Haun knew who to call.
“We would say, ‘What would Paul do?’” he said.
Retired Sgt. Maj. Paul Gray, 58, died Tuesday of cancer after leaving a legacy in the JROTC program at North Hardin High School and beyond. Gray helped build the program after starting at North Hardin in 1993. He created traditions including an annual drill competition, named in his honor, and delivery of food to the community at Christmas.
