Joshua Plocica Corbin

Joshua Plocica Corbin, 20, was killed Wednesday, June 25, 2008, while serving his country in Iraq.

Survivors include his parents, David and Patty Corbin of Vertrees and Lisa and Keith Thompson of Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister, Brenna Corbin of Clarksville; his grandparents, Linda Jorgenson “Nana” of Elizabethtown, Mike and Georgia True of Clarksville and Lee and Ellen Daniels of Tampa, Fla.; five aunts; four uncles; 15 cousins; and many friends.

A memorial service is from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Community Church in Elizabethtown. Another memorial service is at 2 p.m. Sunday with a light meal at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Sand Springs Church of God of Prophecy in Glendale.

Jon Windfield Davis

Jon Windfield Davis, 42, of Frankfort, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Davis; and his grandparents, James W. and Myrtle Davis.

Survivors include his mother, JoAnn Davis of Radcliff; a sister, Lisa Dennis and her husband, Chester, of Radcliff; a niece, Laura Dennis of Radcliff; and his companion, Theresa Gaines and her son, Steven, of Frankfort.

The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove with burial to follow in Vine Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Irene Hall, 88, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Arrangements are incomplete at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.   Tilford Miller

Tilford Miller, 62, of Leitchfield, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in Elizabethtown.

He was born Jan. 25, 1949. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Miller; his father, James David Miller; and a son, Anthony Dewayne Miller.

Survivors include a son, Leonard Paul Miller of Clarkson; a daughter, Tracy Lynn Miller of Leitchfield; his mother, Jewell Ann Dennis Miller of Leitchfield; four brothers, James Lloyd Miller, Clayton Miller and Ernie Lee Miller, all of Leitchfield, and Eugene Miller of Hardinsburg; two sisters, Geraldean Mattingly of Leitchfield and Marlene Parker of Louisville; his companion, Bonnie Sue Dodson of Leitchfield; three stepsons; a stepdaughter; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. CDT Saturday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Brother Jimmy Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Holly Cemetery in Leitchfield.

Visitation begins at 1 p.m. CDT today and continues from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CDT Friday and at 9 a.m. CDT Saturday at the funeral home.

Leona Helen Puckett

Leona Helen Puckett, 90, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Puckett of Elizabethtown, Judy Brewer of Mount Washington and Marilyn Keith of Elizabethtown; a son, David Puckett of Bardstown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen by the family.

Christine Jaggers Tharpe, 74, of Hermanda, Fla., died Wednesday, July 2, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hattie Puckett Jaggers; a daughter; and a son.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie Tharpe Jr.; three sons, Michael, Rodger and Jimmy Tharpe; a brother, Ray Jaggers; and three sisters, Thelma, Dorothy and Jennetta.

Cremation was chosen.   Bertha Fentress Tucker

Bertha Fentress Tucker, 91, of Dyer, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in Breckinridge County.

She was born Oct. 20, 1916. She was a housewife and a member of Constantine Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Homer Fentress and Jesse Tucker; her parents, John and Ella LeGrand Hardin; three sons, Hayden, Billy and Jerry Fentress; a daughter, Norene Lampton; two sisters, Judith Hardin and Gertie Dale; and three brothers, Henry, Penny and Claudie Hardin.

Survivors include four daughters, Sue McGuffin of Constantine, Wilda Carter of Hudson and Brenda Butler and Patsy Keese, both of Dyer; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. CDT Friday at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Brother Billy Carter officiating. Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. CDT today at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hudson Cemetery Fund.   Margaret Ethel West

Margaret Ethel West, 87, of Munfordville, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was a housewife and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Woodward and Mollie Puckett Woodward; and her husband, Elwood West.

Survivors include three sons, Gordon West and Gary West, both of Munfordville, and Kenneth Priddy of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Linda West of Munfordville; seven grandchildren; Ricky Priddy, Teresa Geib, Mark, Kevin and Kelli West, Kimberly Dawn and Gerri Lynn Decker; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. CDT Friday at Sego Funeral Home in Munfordville with Brother Billy Joe Foster officiating. Burial will be in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. CDT today and continues at 9 a.m. CDT Friday at the funeral home.
